The Hidden Opportunity: Most Organisations Skip SAP’s AI Tools Amid S/4HANA Transitions
According to recent research, six in ten organisations are not leveraging SAP’s AI capabilities as they migrate to S/4HANA, largely because of the scale and complexity of the transformation. Yet, companies like Nestlé are proving that integration can be done differently. The Swiss food giant is embedding SAP’s AI assistant, Joule, directly into its S/4HANA environment, positioning AI as a core enabler rather than an afterthought.
In contrast, many businesses continue to struggle with the move toward an intelligent, automated SAP landscape. A recent analysis by management consultancy Horváth revealed that the majority of organisations currently transitioning to S/4HANA and able to activate Joule with minimal additional resources, consider themselves “not agile, efficient, or flexible enough” to combine SAP’s flagship cloud ERP with its AI copilot offering.
